Pick a Project

In an effort to honor the children we serve, we select volunteers who want to provide hope, love, respect and dignity. Help us to fulfill our motto, every child deserves a childhood. To get ideas or to see what volunteers are doing in Utah Valley, see our Pick a Project list below. To learn more about how you or your group can get involved, please fill out the form below.

Host a Fundraiser or a Donation Drive for new items

Organize a fundraiser or drive for approved items. Collect donations of NEW items off-site and deliver to a Christmas Box Resource Room. Specific items needed will be determined with the Community Outreach Representative as needs are constantly changing. To learn more, click here.

Eagle Scout Projects/ Group Donation Drive Projects

Donation drives for NEW items are helpful. Wishlist items needed first otherwise specific items will be determined. They are constantly changing. Additional special projects are occasionally needed as well. Scouts, click here.

Donation Sorting and Organizing in The Christmas Box Resource Rooms

Located in American Fork, Orem, and Provo (as well as in our Shelters). These resource rooms are accessed by DCFS caseworkers helping families receiving in-home services (to prevent child removal from home) and placing children ages 0-18 into foster families. At times, the things they need to be removed quickly or all around don't have much at all to bring with them. The caseworkers then are able to go to The Christmas Box Resource Room in their area to get items such as clothing, diapers, coats, hygiene items and comfort items like blankets, toys and coloring books.

Well organized and stocked supplies make it easier for the caseworkers to quickly find what they need and get back to serving the families in need. This is where you come in!!! Volunteers will help sort, put away, and organize all NEW donations, fold clothes, and at times volunteers will also help transport/carry donations to and from the parking lot to the Resource Room.

Requirements: Volunteers must be age 10+ and be able to carry 20+lbs, stand, kneel, bend, etc. Opportunities available on Fridays mostly, with occasional other days. Sign-ups slots are sent out every month and limited to about 5 people per location and are are first come first served. Questions? Interested? Please email: heather@thechristmasboxhouse.org
